Recipe | Healthy (Green) Smoothiebowls Ⓥ

Maybe you have seen them or tried them already. Or maybe you just did not understand what all the fuzz is about eating your smoothie out of a ball – whatever it is – it is never too late to start this! It is amazingly healthy, packed with super foods and quick and easy to make. So get your bowls out and start filling them with some rad smoothies. If you don’t know how to do it here and easy and awesome recipe I got from healthy which I morphed into my version – hope you enjoy xxx J

What you need:

  • 1 cup kale ( I used spinach)
  • 1/2 cup of your favourite non-dairy milk or water (I personally LOVE rice milk)
  • 2 large frozen bananas
  • optional: 1 teaspoon spirulina

                For your toppings:

  • Any granola of your choice really, since its giving our smoothie bowl that a extra crunch – I used the MoonBean Unbakery Cacao Superfoods Grawnola (and I am wowed by it’s taste – however it is a local product and consists of amongst others of sunflower seeds, banana, dates, raw Cacao powder, coconut, cacao nibs, goji berries, white mulberries and Maca…so if you can’t buy this one just pick any of the above ingredients and add those – any granola of your choice really, since its giving that a extra crunch)
  • 1/2 banana, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon desiccated coconut

Now blend everything together – poor it into a bowl and decorate it with your toppings and be amazed by the beauty of a simple smoothie bowl! Yayy
